This week I saw approximately two TikToks that made me stare into the middle distance like nothing else has in a while (the news notwithstanding.) The first was a compilation of celebrities' faces from the ‘90s with the caption “the era when no one had the same face” followed by another TikTok that…
Anyway I’m working the hardest I have in a while, things are good, I’m coming up on six months in my new role (I’ve really been there since September!) and my first campaign with my new team just dropped. We hit a subscriber milestone this week that probably feels insignificant to the Substack Illuminati around here, but I’m proud and feel like this newsletter is the internet’s best kept lil secret.
This week's picks include Meta trends, Louisa via Roma x Planned Parenthood and Carl's Jr. bringing sexy (ads) back.
Christina’s weekly scroll –
Sul sul~ The Sims celebrated its 25th anniversary by rereleasing The Sims 1 and The Sims 2 (which has inspired hundreds of fan-made MVs, hell yeah) and hosting a 25-hour celebrity-filled livestream featuring Doja Cat, Latto and more.
New CeraVe stunt just dropped with Charli D'Amelio.
Chris cubed. Kris Jenner, Chris Pratt and Chris Hemsworth for Ray-Ban Meta.
Carl's Jr. is bringing sexy (ads) back with the help of Alix Earle.
Dove has entered the whole body deo game and to my surprise, they used My Neck, My Back by Khia for the campaign. Love when a song about eating pus*y goes mainstream in an absolutely batshit way like this.
The latest Erewhon celebrity smoothie: Kacey Musgraves Deeper Wellness smoothie. Proceeds go to Altadena Girls.
Tate McRae for Neutrogena! Reneé Rapp for L’Oréal! Billie Eilish has a new perfume!
Joan Didion’s 25-year-old diary is being published. Wow.
Mustard x Mustard. New mustard dropping this summer, lol.
Nikita note: ALSO! This is a campaign that builds from a piece of reactive social creative from November.
And shoutout to Special Offer for winning the Grammy for Best Recording Package! We’re big fans over here! We spoke to them back in June:

Ok on the whole I really do agree and empathize with the people are lonely and not socializing and there’s no third spaces thing but also this is wild – people are walking faster and socializing less. Blinders on I guess!
This week in Severance marketing stunts – another full-court marketing press from Apple, with Ricken Hale’s book available for download on Apple Books. Good use of the ecosystem and brand universe building ;)

Christina note: I’m mommy!
One of the best drops of the year, always –
’s Meta Trends. Cannot wait to dive in when I have brain power again.I love seeing brands do social well, and for that social to tie to relevance and growth.
covers the latest on Burberry’s social strategy.Wonder what this Dot Dot Dot Substack will be.
TikTok wasn’t banned, but relationships to the app changed anyway.
Calvin Klein returns! I hope we eat good.
Money will not in fact make you happy. Americans are actually wealthier than ever and miserable.
Louisa via Roma x Planned Parenthood event?
Nike returns to the Super Bowl after TWENTY PLUS YEARS.
Jacquemus and L’Oréal have inked a partnership for an exclusive beauty deal. I think Simon’s true passion is still marketing he should focus on it. (Anyone catch this Shot on iPhone video of the atelier?)
Some of you need to chill out with the beauty standards.
Apple duped Partiful.
